Who can do LOLER inspections

Under the Lifting  operations and lifting equipment regulations 1998 (LOLER) all lifting equipment must be inspected and tested  by a Competent Person who is impartial and not the same person who undertakes routine maintenance of the equipment. Tests are often provided by insurance companies however independent companies such as Uplift engineering inspections can offer LOLER testing and issue reports to meet the terms of insurance policies.
